Commercial Catering & Laundry Engineer (Suffolk)

My client are a market leader in the installation, service and repair of commercial laundry and commercial catering equipment UK wide. They have a current requirement for a Commercial Catering & Laundry Service Engineer in the East Anglia area.

My client are interested in speaking with candidates who are experienced with Catering and/or Laundry equipment. However, they have recently come to an exciting agreement with a major training provider and are now in a position to take on trainee commercial catering engineers.

They are willing to provide a full and comprehensive on-the-job training package which, over the course of 2 – 3 years will transform you into a fully qualified Commercial Catering engineer with COMCAT and Commercial Laundry qualifications and manufacturer training certificates.

They have developed a structured pay scale depending on experience, and are interested in speaking to the following types of candidates:
1. Appliance engineers with domestic gas or core gas safe qualifications (£28k with a pay rise to £30k after 1 year)
2. Experienced COMCAT or Commercial Laundry qualified engineers (£30k – £32k)

You will ideally be located within the East Anglia area (ideally spot would be Sudbury/Ipswich/Haverhill) and willing to cover work down into Essex and up into Norfolk as needed.

This is an incredibly lucrative opportunity, and one that does not come up often within the Commercial Catering sector!

Remuneration: 
£25,000 – £32,000PA Basic Salary (Dependant on skill level, see pay structure above)

20 days’ holiday + 1 more per year of service
Working hours 08:30 – 17:30 (with a level of flexibility i.e. earlier starts and earlier finishes)

Essential Requirements:
-Fitting into one of the 2 categories listed above.
-Relevant experience working as a Field Service Engineer such that they could hit the ground running and not require any additional training to start work.
-A willingness to travel around specified area in order to carry out work.
-A desire to progress career and undertake the necessary training in order to achieve this.
-Customer focused and confident in their skills (and a confident communicator)
-Driving license holder

My client are a London-based, well-established service provider within the Commercial Catering industries. They are currently seeking an experienced, qualified Electrical Commercial Catering Engineer based in the London area to cover work at a number of smaller Independent firms across the M25 interior. I am working with a privately-owned Global Power Generation firm who Specialise in Standby Diesel Generators Solutions for high profile Critical infrastructure sites.

The National Service Manager has been with the Firm for over 18 years and originally started his career as an Engineer. Today he manages upwards of 20 Diesel Generator Service & Repair Engineers in the UK alone is now in the market for an additional Diesel Generator Engineer to join the existing team.

The Job will be covering the Lancashire / North West area and you will be visiting Critical sites requiring 24/7 Stand by Diesel Generator sets, from 500KVA to 1.6 MW. Work involves the Day 2-day servicing, repairing, load balancing to full overhauls in addition to managing switch gear and controls and more.

I am working with the Service Manager who has been working for my client for over 10 years and comes from a 30 year Lift Engineering background.   He’s responsible for a team of 5 field engineers, 2 teams of Repair Engineers,3 Engineer apprentices and for the first time in 5 years, has a position available for another experienced Lift engineer to join the existing team.

The Role is to manage and cover all aspects of  Service and call outs for a route of 100 units, to all types of Mechanical, Traction MRL Goods & Passenger Lifts.  Lift types contains everything from the late 60’s through to units just out of warranty meaning everyday is going to be something different! You will also be responsible for won of the apprentices who is working on his NVQ 3 ensuring all work is completed correctly!
