Cranes & Lifting
The concept of Lifting Equipment and the lifting of heavy loads has been around for thousands of years . Don’t believe me think about how they built the Pyramids! Today cranes and lifting equipment are more commonly used across the globe on construction sites and ports to transfer larger heavy loads or containers from with one place to another or a city skyline with various high rise buildings
This equipment needs to be constructed, Installed, regularly inspected for safety in addition to receiving regular maintenance.
So if you work in this space or are looking to recruit an engineerthen we can’t wait to hear from you.
Forklifts
Everyone knows what they are and what they do but have you ever thought about what life would be like if they didn’t exist? Forklifts have been around for nearly 100 years and was invented back in the early 1900’s based on Crane technology for moving heavy or bulky items over short distances.
Today they can be commonly found in warehouses that can distribute produce and items to retailers (Amazon, Tesco, Waitrose) to, automated production lines that built the car you drive to work in. They continue to make our jobs more efficient just as much as they did when they were invented. The typical Forklift can run for on average for 8 hours a day moving weights constantly of up to 20 tons, so as you can imagine they need to be kept in good working order and regularly inspected to continue working safely.
Forklifts are a staple of the British economy and those that keep them working and safe are one of the cogs that keep the economy moving. If this is you, then we’d like to hear from you.
Lifts / Elevators
Before the widespread use of elevators, most buildings were limited to about seven stories. Little do people know that the first elevator was in fact a hydraulic crane with a platform and was built back in the early 1840’s.
What you don’t see are the company’s and most importantly the engineers behind the scenes that keep things running. Engineers and Managers are trained to complete Installations, down to day to day servicing and ad-hoc repairs when something eventually breaks or needs replacing. These people work tirelessly night and day in the snow and sunshine to help improve your quality of life.
So if you’re currently working in this area and are
looking for a new challenge, we’d love to hear from you.
